It all started in 1986, when Brian's father bought his first horse; Marengo du Gazeau. Driven by Ninu Gafa this French trotter launched the passion for trotters within all the Zammit family. Later on, other horses that continued the winning string of the stable were Paris Granville and Hidalgo Kemp. At this point in time Brian's involvement with horses was already fully present and he more than often drove the horses owned by his father.
Brian's first owned horse was Ex Lindflower. Imported in 1995, Ex Lindflower is the horse of a lifetime for Brian and his family and this can be seen through the role Ex Lindflower plays in the Zammit's life, namely being the name of their house, farm and stables. After Ex Lindflower many horses followed into the stables of Brian Zammit, all of which left their particular imprint on the history of the stable.
Nowadays Brian owns 13 horses, 3 of which are racing in Sweden being trained by Charles Degiorgio, a Maltese professional trainer and driver in Mantorp Race Track.
As one can imagine no stable of 8 horses can be run by a single person. For this reason Brian finds in Dennis Caruana a very dedicated person to give a helping hand. On other occasions Carl Caruana co-owner of a horse with Brian drives some horses for Brian on occasions when horses from the stable meet in the same race.
Last but not least, Brian Zammit stables are dedicated in having some of the best horses they can buy for the pleasure of the companionship of their horses and also the great pleasure derived from the victories. Success and impeccably kept horses have always been a landmark at Brian Zammit Stables.
